Penny 4th January 2021

I first met Ute in the nineteen eighties, we were both working for the NHS, in the Child Health Department, and got to know each other through the immunisation sessions in schools. She was always very organised, which was a very good thing, as I wasn't! We became friends and enjoyed celebrating, especially with her great friend Sylvia, who, I remember insisted on painting the rainbow rail on the wall by the front door, now a lovely reminder of her, and their great friendship. Ute's love for people and her hospitality were boundless, how she managed to keep such a welcoming home, full of precious memories of her life and family, amazes me, when I think of all the time she spent on the phone, and visiting people. I shall miss her, and our lovely chats, and playing Rummikub for hours!!! Ute was very blessed with her loving and caring family, who I know meant the world to her. My love goes with you, Ute. Penny ...and Daisy.
