Caversham reading group

Created by Jacky 3 years ago
Ute was one of the first members of our Caversham reading group, originally run by Reading Libraries but subsequently just a group of interesting, articulate women who like to read and discuss a wide range of books.  Ute was a member of the group for more than fifteen years valued by us all for her forthright contributions and the fascinating glimpses of her earlier life that she gave when appropriate to the discussion.
She always seemed good fun and lively.  She was always elegantly dressed and made-up and loved talking about her travels.  She had a real zest for life despite her struggles with much pain and many operations.
We didn’t know about her dementia; she stopped coming to our meetings about 18 months ago and we missed her.
