I guess I have known Ute since I was a teenager so for about 55 years. I never failed to see her without a smile even when she was in pain. Ute did a truly remarkable job raising 5 children, largely on her own.

I went to see her on the 23rd December with small Xmas gifts for her and Valeria and she was in good spirits. 

Her grandchildren in particular were a great joy to her.

I shall miss her a lot.
